Hythe's first game since the 5th January and a tough one against top of the table Totton & Eling who were unbeaten 6-0.
Hythe batted first and got off to a good start through Matt Howe & Tom Richards ~ both players retiring. Stovell added 21 but good T&E fielding got rid of him & Taylor 10. Stow on his return was run out for a duck whilst Lenny was on the charge on stumped for 10.
Howe 35 & Richards 31 returned but failed to make too much impact ~ Hythe all out for a below par 124.
T&E started well through Jimmy & Eithan Taylor before Eithan was caught by Dan Taylor off Richards for 11. Hampshire's Billy Lightfoot was going well before being run out by Taylor for 14. Jimmy Taylor retired 25* before Chaeter was LBW to Duell for 19. Leo Taylor made a solid 26* as Totton & Eling got home with 4 balls remaining.
For Hythe 0-14 off 2.2 overs from Craig Stow was the pick of the bowling.
Next up Fair Oak in the Cup.
