H&D 2nd XI minus Captain Sam Redford travelled up the road to Knellers Lane to face Langley Manor 2s who had been off colour in recent weeks.
Andy Murkitt captained the Hythe side and found himself winning the toss and electing to bat first on a track that was only rolled for the first time 24 hours earlier.
Hythe's batting once again evaporated. Murkitt hit a fine 84 whilst bowlers Alex McGreath 3-22 & Matt Musgrove 5-41 went through the rest. Only George Sanderson 19 put up any resistance. He and Murky adding 74 for the 3rd wicket.
Hythe finishing on 165-9 but on this track they must have fancied half a chance of stealing a win.
Sadly though it wasn't to be ~ the Manor's openers put on 47 for the first wicket. Kev Cresswell added 15 then William Budd 61& James Purnell 53* added 72 for the 3rd wicket.
Langley Manor finally got home by 7 wkts with 8 overs remaining. The pick of the Hythe bowling Dan Jones 1-20 off 5. Shrive & Tom Jones also bowled well.
But Hythe 2s third defeat on the bounce after a good start
RESULT : Langley Manor 2nd XI Beat Hythe & Dibden 2nd XI by 7 Wkts
