Depleted 1s No Match For Bash
As expected Bashley IIs were far too strong for the H&D 1st XI on Saturday.
In hot conditions Hythe batted first and after a decent start of 38 for the 1st wicket the innings fell apart. Only Tom Gates 54 can hold his head up and say he gave it a go.
Hythe's collapse of 98 all out was down to teenager Ethan Baker who took 8-15.
Bash took just 19 overs to reach their target. Their only loss Tom O'Sullivan caught by Gates off Tim Ndowora for 12. Skipper Tom Richards tried 7 bowlers to get further wickets but in vain.
RESULT : Bashley Rydal 2nd XI Beat Hythe & Dibden 1st XI by 9 Wkts
