South Hants Indoor League AGM
The South Hants Indoor League AGM will take place on 16th June @ 7.30pm.
This will be done through your home computer and Zoom.
Dan Taylor has kindly agreed to attend for H&D.
Attendance remains mandatory for all clubs. Should multiple representatives of a club wish to attend, this would be welcomed by the League; but each club shall receive only one vote.
Dan will have a copy of the 2020 Agenda, but please find some elaboration on some of the more crucial items below. Our 2019 AGM Minutes are also attached for review and reference.
Conclusion of the 2019/20 Season:
It’s no secret to anyone that all forms of cricket have been severely disrupted by COVID-19 and unfortunately, the League has been no exception. At the time of the initial lockdown, we were forced to postpone the final two weeks of the 2019/20 season. Since then, the SHICL committee has closely monitored the situation and reviewed our options.
Should the situation allow, it is our intention to finish the 2019/20 league season (the cup competitions have had to be abandoned), provided we can remain within the Government and Hampshire Cricket Board guidelines at the time. There are 12 league matches outstanding, which we aim to play on a single evening on Sunday 6th September; with a view to commencing the 2020/21 season on Sunday 20th September.
This continues to be a challenging time for everyone, and our plan depends on multiple (still) unknown factors, including the “Places Leisure” facilities being available to us.
Registration for the 2020/21 Season:
We sincerely hope that your club continues to participate in the League and invite you to “Control and Click” on this link (https://www.shicl.co.uk/registration/) and complete the Registration Form on the SHICL website. The deadline is 31st July, to provisionally secure your team(s) for the 2020/21 season. If you are unable to access the form using the link above, please email committee@shicl.co.uk and you will be advised of an alternative method of submitting the form.
